Peacock Tattoo ~ Stage One.

Please excuse the view of my natal cleft and my muffin tops.
This is a photo of my tattoo following my first 4 hour session.
The Artist doing the work is Jon from Black Dog Tattoo's in Long Stratton, Norfolk, UK.

Eventually it will look sort of like this!

I have to say it did hurt a bit......especially on my ribs and spine but the worst bit was up by my neck as I have a touch of sun burn from our afternoon canoeing on Tuesday! I will have another 3 , 4 hour sessions to finish the peacock then i will be around 12 hours for the roses.! xxxx

Sweet Pea Stamper's ~ April Challenge.

This month's challenge set by us girls at
The Sweet Pea Stamper's
is

To support you favourite Charity.

The charity I am supporting is Marie Curie Cancer Care. I work as a Community Staff Nurse on night duty and visit many people who are having their last moments at home with their families supported by Night Sitter/carer's provided by Marie Curie their support is priceless!

I've made my card using Ching Chou Kuik's Night Daffodil Digi Stamp and Pink Petticoat papers with a selection of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and ribbon from my stash.

Bombshell Stamps ~ Fabulous Friday Technique.

Good Afternoon I'm sorry I'm a bit behind today the final arrival of some warmer weather in the UK has brought out the germ's with it but we've waited so long for spring to arrive I'm going take Paracetamol Honey and Lemon( maybe a  little Whiskey too.........shush!!!) in abundance and get on with it!!!

This is my first Tutorial I think for Bombshell Stamps so lets hope its OK!

Today's Fabulous Friday Technique is to use a

 Baby Wipe Ink Pad.

The supplies you will need are:
Baby wipes.
Stamping card.
Stamps I have used the Mermaid Anchor Set from Bombshell Stamps.
A selection of Re-inkers
( I have used Stampin Up re-inker's in "Not Quite Navy" "Tempting Turquoise"
"Bashful Blue" & "Garden Green")
A large Acrylic Block and a rocker Block (not shown)

First take one baby wipe and fold in half and lay on your acrylic block,

Take your first colour of ink and just let drops fall onto the baby wipe but making sure your don't let them drop to close together.

With the second colour fill in a few of the gaps.

Do this until you have filled all the gaps but also making sure your ink pad is big enough for your chosen stamp to get covered in one application.

Now assemble your stamping card, stamp and rocker block, I like to use a foam stamping mat with blocks as I get a more even print.

Apply you stamp to the baby wipe and just press once.

I'm going to create a backing paper with the two Dolphin's from Mermaid Anchor Set.
Cover your stamping card with your chosen image(s)
Like so!

Here's my finished card.

Sketch Saturday Carrie's DT week with That Craft Place.

It's Carrie's turn to host the Sketch this week at
 Sketch Saturday
And this week we have a fabby new sponsor

Lisa - The owner has an eye for crafts and stocks not only scrummy stamps but amazing embellishments as well.
Unfortunatley not everything makes it to the shop as there is a facebook group where Lisa showcases her new goodies and they get snapped up.
So it is well worth popping over and liking the FB group.

Lisa is offering the VERY lucky winner a fabulous package.
